  9. I love these little glimpses!! I have a question regarding your little herb garden. What kind of soil have you planted them in, it looks like bark? Is there any specific reason why you've used that instead of (organic) soil? :)

    1. Thanks Katherine! For the herb garden we have used an organic potting mix with composted manure and we use pea straw on top (which is what you can see). The pea straw has multiple purposes, it helps prevent moisture loss (as we live in a very dry/desert climate) & because pea plants are natural nitrogen fixers, as the straw breaks down it releases more nutrients into the soil. Hope this helps :) x
