Making & Doing..

'A weekly document of little thoughts that dance around my head at 3am.'
I've been totally inspired by Man Made Home to create an off grid wonderland and am now dreaming of a little ramshackled handmade cottage with two alpacas and some lovely hens.
And I've been blown away by this Zero Waste Home.. so many amazing tips.
I'm loving this beautiful blog, her tiny apartment and her thoughts about ethical fashion. So happy to be continuing my ethical journey for the whole family this year and joining in with Pip's Year of Ethical Fashion.
There is 10kg of bread flour sitting in our fridge.. Yes my bread baking adventures are in full swing and I'm totally hooked.
Right now I feel like our little family is finding its daily rhythm and I'm treasuring the moments.
I'm keeping a little craft basket close by at all times just in case inspiration strikes.
I'm embarking on an exciting snail mail exchange with over thirty lovely ladies from around the world. It feels so wonderful to add a lovely bit of mail into a sea of bills and supermarket brochures.
This week Daughter of the Sun and Kirsten Ricket's Instagram feeds are making me smile.
I love finding a little moment or two to delve into the pages of my journal and awaken my soul.
I've been decluttering our world, making space and living by a 'less stuff, more life' motto. In the process I've uncovered some hidden treasures, made peace with the collector within and am beginning to feel ready for our future adventures, wherever they may take us.
This year I'm all about embracing a lingering approach to life.. and today that means enjoying the sunshine whilst hanging out the washing and taking an afternoon wander on the beach with my loves.
Have a beautiful weekend!
Much Love

    thanks for your blog xx

  4. Lovely post Sophie, looking forward to snail mailing with you ♥

  5. Beautiful! You have the loveliest handwriting Sophie! x

  6. I feel like you have been reading my mind! I am getting into some decluttering, some letter writing and dabbling in a bit of crafty stuff too. It must be some new year inspiration. I hope you have a wonderful 2014 :)

  7. Love the ethical fashion idea! I started the same thing this year for myself, but I just dubbed it "WEAR EVERYTHING" as we march towards more financial freedom, I don't want to be burdened by buying extra, I want to learn how to use what I already have. Beautiful journal page, and I just love this space. I always feel more inspired after visiting!

  8. Jen and I dream of going off grid quite a bit! That, or having a moving home - such as a RV, boat, or bicycles and tent. <3

  9. Your handwriting is so beautiful.
Writing in a journal can be one of the greatest things ever. And then looking back on what I wrote years back, also has an interesting feeling as well.

Thank you for stopping by! ~ I just love receiving your comments! I'll be sure to pop by your place too. Much love ~ Sophie x
