Weekend Adventures..

Happy Weekend! I hope you are enjoying magical weekend, where ever you are in the world.  Ben and I are doing a little exploring of Brisbane this weekend, which begun with a trip to the fabulous Powerhouse farmers market this morning.  I spent many days playing in New Farm Park when I was little and it is so lovely and a little nostalgic to once again enjoy the amazing Poincianas and Jacarandas in full bloom.

So we would love your help with our adventure.. If you know of anywhere lovely around Brisbane that we should check out on our travels, we would love to know.

What are your weekend plans?
Much Love

  1. Considering both my brother and sister live in Brisbane, you'd think I'd have a better idea! I clearly need to spend more time visiting them! Hope you have a lovely weekend Sophie xx

  3. My family recently visited Brisbane this Winter...and Mildura last Summer actually (which is where I stumbled across your blog). We had the best time!! Amberly has some shops you would adore- we revisited several times and I mentioned it in my blog too. There is a handmade shop there with the most beautiful bits and pieces. We really, really enjoyed the Contemporary Art Gallery too.
So happy that you are exploring again Sophie! You are an inspiration xxxx

  4. That sounds lovely! I want to take Jason to a farmers market (Indy has sooo many) but he refuses. I think it is mostly because he hates crowds. My weekend has been relaxing with moments of absolute insanity.

  5. What a tree! Unfortunately I have never been to Brisbane, so can't advise. I am planning my first Antipodean adventure to visit my sister in Sydney next Summer ( for us, I don't think my pale skin could cope with an Australian summer!)

  6. Oh Brisbane is bursting with places to investigate markets, car boot sales, vintage stores and boutiques. Have you checked out Paddington yet? Such a lovely suburb but has the Paddington Antique Centre and various other op shops and boutiques and cafes. The Suitcase Rummage is always fun near the City Library. Newstead is fun to visit I love to cool artisan vibe.

  7. That tree is stunning! We have New Zealand Christmas trees in WA, this time of the year, so our streets are starting to look very orange! You know Christmas is not far away when the orange blossoms appear. Squeeee!

  8. Get yourself to the West End green flea market held each Saturday morning, Davies park, West End. Plan to have breakfast there, and you won't be disappointed. I'm a Brisbanite currently living in Amsterdam, and the West End market is the only local thing I truly miss!
